Park Entry & Passes

All visitors to Rifle Mountain park must buy a daily or season pass.

Both can be purchased from park hosts present in the canyon on weekends and some weekdays. The pass can also be purchased at the city municipal building. (You can’t buy a pass from Rifle Police. All you can get from the police is an expensive ticket for not having a valid pass.) The RCC respects and endorses the city’s Parks and Recreation policies and efforts to keep the park clean and open to the public. Do the right thing! Buy a pass!

The daily parks pass is $5. There are several pay stations located throughout the park; the main pay station is on the right side of the canyon entrance.

The season pass is $50. This pass is valid for a year starting from the month of the purchase. If you purchase two passes for your two vehicles, it is $50 for first and $25 for the second ($75 total). Passes can also be purchased from park hosts present in the canyon.

Rifle residents and Garfield County residents are offered season pass discounts. Rifle residents – $15 first, $10 for the second vehicle; Garfield County residents – $30 for the first vehicle, $15 for the second vehicle.
